When alcohol and/or drug usage has become a problem in one’s life or one’s family, intervention may be needed. Stephen has many years of experience assessing drug and alcohol problems. He is familiar with the various treatment approaches (12-step, harm reduction, etc.) for persons who use substances. If more intensive treatment is required, Stephen is familiar with addiction treatment facilities in the New York metropolitan area.
In addition to drug and alcohol issues, Stephen is trained to work with problem gambling and out-of-control sexual behavior. Sometimes these problems occur on their own. Sometimes they are accompanied by alcohol or drug usage.
