As the executive director of London Terrace Psychotherapy Services, Stephen established and directed the first same-sex batterers’ intervention program in New York City, the Seeking Non-Violent Alternatives Program (SNAP). Through this work, he developed an expertise in working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. In private practice, Stephen continues to treat clients who exhibit angry and abusive behavior towards others. By developing awareness of internal triggers and learning alternative coping methods, it is possible to make changes that increase safety and lead to more stable relationships.
